Highway Construction

Highway Construction

Highways and bridges development has been at the core of PATH’s journey since inception. What began with modest road-work assignments has evolved into a diverse portfolio of large-scale, technically complex infrastructure projects delivered across India with consistency and integrity.

Over the years, PATH has expanded its capabilities across the full spectrum of highway development — from engineering and design to complete EPC execution, and from traditional PPP structures to advanced concession models.

Our Capabilities Span the Entire Value Chain

  • EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction):
Execution of high-quality highways, bridges, flyovers, and structures with strong engineering discipline and operational excellence.
  • PPP Models — BOT, BOT-Annuity, HAM:
Experience across Build-Operate-Transfer, Annuity, and Hybrid Annuity projects, ensuring long-term performance, financial discipline, and compliance with concession frameworks.
  • OMT (Operate–Maintain–Transfer):
Long-term operation and maintenance of national corridors, ensuring road safety, asset longevity, and seamless user experience.

Key Strengths

  • Proven record of timely, quality execution:
Projects delivered with precision, transparency, and client confidence — a hallmark of PATH’s work ethic.
  • Experience in Marquee National Corridor Projects:
Participation in major highways, flyovers, and strategic infrastructure under NHAI, state agencies, and central government programs.
  • Geographically diversified portfolio:
Projects executed across multiple states, enabling risk diversification and nurturing deep regional and technical expertise.
  • Strong in-house capability across design, construction & O&M:
Integrated teams that plan, build, operate, and maintain infrastructure — ensuring continuity, accountability, and long-term value for stakeholders.
  • Building Infrastructure That Endures
Through our Highway Construction vertical, PATH continues to strengthen national connectivity by delivering infrastructure that is engineered for longevity, built with precision, and designed to serve communities and economies for decades.
  • Our commitment remains unchanged:
To create roads, bridges, and corridors that enhance mobility, enable growth, and stand the test of time.
  • Design – design of the project, including design of the infrastructure and model
  • Build – construction or renovation of facilities included in the project
  • Finance – financing or co–financing of the project
  • Operate – supply of applicable equipment, IT and management/delivery of services
  • Transfer – delivery and management of specified support services
  • Maintain – maintenance of hard infrastructure (facilities as well as equipment as applicable)

OMT Services

The OMT model is similar to the BOT model except that OMT does not require the concessionaire to construct the highway, which is the case in the BOT model. This is expected to lead to better maintenance and hence smoother and more efficient flow of traffic on national highways.

Earlier different agencies were appointed on annual basis, for maintenance and toll collection, through a tendering process. Overall it used to be a time consuming exercise and there was no assurance regarding the quality of the maintenance of the highways. Unlike this, in an OMT model, the concessionaire takes charge of the maintenance for a fixed concession period which ranges from four to nine years. This includes undertaking periodic as well as annual maintenance works, traffic incident management and ensuring smooth flow of traffic. For revenue generation the concessionaire is be given rights to collect toll fees from road users.

We are one of the largest OMT concessionaires in NHAI OMT project having 7 OMT projects, maintaining close to 4000 Lane kms of highway under the OMT scheme across the country, and have successfully completed and handed over 4 OMT packages to NHAI.
