History

The historical background of the promoters association with civil construction and toll collection can be traced to pre independence period when grandfather of our  Managing Director, was working for British Army and was posted to Mhow.

Being motivated by Quit India movement started by Mahatma Gandhi in 1942,he decided to leave the job. He decided to settle in MHOW itself and started taking small construction contracts and also took some toll collection contracts. In those times toll was collected even from pedestrians and animal driven vehicles. The toll gates were locked after sunset and were open only after the sunrise.

Thereafter Mr. Prakash Chandra Agrawal, father of Mr. Puneet Agrawal, along with his Brothers carried forward the family business in a Partnership form. The sudden demise of Mr.Prakash Chandra Agrawal in 1983 was a tragic incidence to the Agrawal family. Mrs. SantoshAgrawal, mother of Mr. Puneet Agrawal had to handle the construction business which in those days was considered as ill-suited to the gender. She handled the family and business responsibilities both very courageously during the critical conditions till the elder son completed basic education and got ready to shoulder responsibilities of business. Mr. Puneet Agrawal joined the business in 1986 after completing his graduation. Mr. Nitin Agrawal , joined his elder brother in family business in 1989, after completing his Engineering from Prestigious College.

PATH was formed and registered as Limited Liability Company in 1996. The Company was amongst the very few players in the country to subscribe to the PPP model of execution of infrastructure project. The Company is amongst first to execute successfully BOT Projects which in those days were Pilot Projects, just for testing the efficiency of the BOT model. The Company therefore considers itself a perfect partner in PPP initiatives of Government of India to improve infrastructure in the Country. The Company considers itself very honored to be partnering in the progress of the nation with a proper mix of Techno and Commercial both the aspects, which is a precondition for success of any PPP project.
